In 2017–2018, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Asia Program, an affiliate of the National Consortium for Teaching About Asia (NCTA), used NCTA funding to support the creation of these teaching modules. Seven Tennessee "master teachers" were selected through a competitive process to develop, field-test, and revise the modules, ensuring they aligned with the new Tennessee State Social Studies Standards. Each module underwent multiple revisions based on feedback from editors, teachers, and students to maximize classroom effectiveness. You can download a complete compilation of all modules here.
